Mark your calendars for this special event in partnership with Esther Fest, Monday October 26th at 6:30pm. Sarah from Lilac Place will lead a hands-on bookbinding workshop for women and gender-diverse folks, inspired by the tradition of the grimoire. This is a pay-what-you-can (suggested $10 to $20) event.
We’ll create our own books using simple bookbinding techniques, then fill them with affirmations, wishes, good intentions, and ways of warding off toxicity while celebrating the power of community and sisterhood.
We’ll also explore Esther Cox’s story, her experiences, and the legacy she left behind. Looking beyond the legend to consider the young woman at its centre.
