International Women’s Day Lunch
Rachelle Pascoe Deslauriers is currently an Associate Professor in Commerce and Women’s & Gender Studies at Mount Allison University. She will be speaking at this event, sharing insights from her research on how policies interact to shape the design and nature of work.
Rachelle’s current work focuses on these dynamics in the context of layoffs, organizational restructuring, and involuntary job loss. She is particularly interested in how workplace policies and practices intersect — and how those interactions influence workers’ experiences during times of change and uncertainty.
Working with the team at SCER, Rachelle explores how workplace processes and organizational practices can be designed to support fair work and workplace innovation. Her work considers how thoughtful policy and practice can create shared benefits for both employees and organizations.
